How to learn Danish by yourself? Start with an easy and free online course!

We have adopted an objective and efficient approach to learn how to speak a language easily and quickly: we suggest you to start by memorizing words, phrases and practical expressions that you can use in everyday life and that will be useful when traveling.
Getting used to pronounce words out loud, numbers for instance, is an easy exercise that you can practice often and at anytime throughout the day.
It will help you to get used to the sounds of your chosen language and thus make it more familiar.
And once your holidays have begun, in Copenhagen, in Aarhus or elsewhere, you will be surprised how familiar and easy to understand it will seem.
Furthermore, using a pocket dictionary is always useful, particularly during a trip. It enables you to find the translation of new words and enrich your vocabulary.

Why speak Danish while traveling?

Start learning the language straight away, and savor the wonders of Danish culture!

Culture on a daily basis

It is quite possible that Danish culture has filled your childhood with adventure and magic, as Lego and Hans Christian Andersen's tales are two of the great demonstrations of the inventiveness of these people.
Whilst talking of big names which come from this culture, we must not forget the intensity of the films of Lars von Trier, or the masterpieces of Karl Gjellerup and Henrik Pontoppidan, two Danish winners of the Nobel Prize for Literature.

A giant of sustainable development

A member of the European Union, the smallest of the Scandinavian countries forms a kingdom (the Kingdom of Denmark) with the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
A major player in the history, economy and culture of Northern Europe, Denmark is one of the most developed and wealthy countries in the world, being the fourth highest ranked country in terms of HDI and the 36th in terms of GDP.
Beyond the exceptional quality of life, business opportunities in the country are exceptional, as Denmark is one of the world leaders in sustainable development and its economy is focused on foreign trade, especially with regard to environmental technology, design, the electronics industry, healthcare, etc.

Make a success of your stay in Denmark

Whether you are going to spend a few days with friends for a leisure trip or if you are on a business trip, nothing will be more useful to you than to be able to slip a few words in the language of your interlocutors, who will appreciate your effort and will be certainly more willing to help.

How to succeed in having good pronunciation within a week to a month?

Often perceived as a difficult language, Danish does pose some challenges in achieving correct pronunciation, but all that is required is some effort and a few tips to get started.
C: must be pronounced [s] in front of e, i, y, æ or ø; and [k] before a, o, u, or another consonant.
The D: should not be pronounced after l, n or r and before t and s.
The H: must not be pronounced before v or j.
The R: it is vocalized after vowels.
