1. Online Access

1.1 My connection speed is inferior to 128kb/sec: can I use the player?

The player can be quite slow to start up, and not very reactive at the beginning (give it about 3 seconds per expression on average). However, once all the expressions have loaded up, the preview of the images won't depend on your connection speed.

1.2 The player is very slow to come up (over 60 seconds)

> Case 1: is the Flash player plug-in installed on your system? Download it here.

> Case 2: if you are on a Mac, it is possible, depending on your configuration, that you may encounter some trouble to read the complex Flash files. The cases are rare. You may try with a different browser.

> Case 3: You are the first user of this combination of languages in the last version of the player! Our servers are working on creating this product with all the needed elements. It will take between 15 to 40 seconds. On your next visit the player will come up very quickly.

> Case 4: if the player is definitely not loading up (over 60 seconds) it's probably that our servers are momentarily saturated. We apologise for the inconvenience. If the problem persists, please contact us.

1.3 The images and the sound are not synchronised, and even blocks temporarily

> Solution 1: the Flash player is rather greedy on your system's resources, we recommend that you shut down other applications.

> Solution 2: the illustrations and the audio files are loaded one by one (on average about 30 kb for a combination needed for an expression), it is possible that your internet connection is a bit slow to charge them up instantaneously on your first go. However, once they are stored in your cache, you will be able to click on them and there won't be a delay for the response. That is why we recommend that you manually play each expression before trying the continuous play mode (you would encounter slowness if your internet connection is a bit slow)

> Solution 3: if your browser is configured to automatically check if a newer page exist on the website you are visiting, solution 2 won't work! You need to change the preferences of your browser.

2. Download mp3 and PDF

2.1 How do I transfer the mp3's onto my own player?

Once you've downloaded the files on your computer, you can transfer the files on your mobile device (MP3 player, PDA, mobile phone) using a usb cable, Bluetooth or infra red technology, depending on your equipment. We recommend that you read the user manual of your device.

2.2 My connection dropped while I was downloading the files

You have another two attempts to try and download with the same Access Code.

2.3 The download page is very slow to come up

> Case 1: You are the first user of this combination of languages in the last version of the content! Our servers are working on creating this package for you, with all the needed elements. It will take between 30 to 60 seconds.

> Case 2: Our servers are saturated (very rare). We apologise for the inconvenience. You can try again later (you have up to 3 attempts) If the problem persists, please contact us by mail giving us the details of when you tried to download the files (time and date), the Access Code you bought, the languages you were interested in and your email. If our statistics confirm saturation we will happily send you the files by mail.
