Here are the most frequently asked questions about Loecsen
Many people find it difficult to learn a new language. Our research shows that this often comes from a weak short-term memory, which forces learners to make an excessive effort. This overload is one of the main reasons why people give up. To solve this, we created the Super Memory program: a funnel-shaped learning loop that delivers outstanding results and works for everyone. This original approach helps you fix vocabulary and grammar in your memory for the long term, with much less effort.
The core is free (access to many languages and essential topics). Paid options can enhance the experience (extended content, advanced features).
For most languages, we currently offer a course designed for complete beginners, with the goal of reaching Level A1 (CEFR). But we are gradually adding more comprehensive courses that allow learners to reach Level A2–B1, with more topics and exercises. Our goal is to soon provide several levels in all available languages.
The ’First Contact’ courses provide the essential basics to start a language. The ’Fluent in 6 Months’ courses, when available, help learners reach an advanced level and hold everyday conversations.
First Contact covers key situations for travel (restaurant, directions, emergencies…). Fluent in 6 Months goes further: more topics, more practice, and a structured progression to hold everyday conversations. Fluent in 6 Months is currently available only from certain languages to a few target languages. We are gradually expanding it to all the languages available on our site.
Yes, if you are consistent with the ’Fluent in 6 Months’ course. Our approach — “useful phrases + native audio + quizzes” — quickly helps you understand and make yourself understood in everyday situations. The ’First Contact’ course has a different goal: it focuses more on helping you understand and be understood in a few key situations while traveling.
By working 15–30 minutes a day, many users get comfortable with the basics in just a few weeks and reach solid conversational autonomy within a few months. The pace depends on your consistency.
Our approach is inspired by the natural process through which a child acquires their mother tongue, but adapted to the needs of adults. No isolated vocabulary lists to memorize or abstract grammar rules: you start directly with useful sentences, rooted in everyday situations. This concrete context makes memorization easier and helps you speak quickly in a natural and spontaneous way.

Loecsen focuses on useful phrases from day one and on their immediate practice (travel, daily life). It is simple, clear, and oriented toward speaking.
